Sporty Shorties

Finally I can say I've Knitted Socks! I never understood all the fuss about them but after making a pair, I can see why! I love these better than store-bought socks. They feel really good, like I don't have any on at all. These will be perfect to wear with my clogs this Winter.

The only drawback to this pattern is I really hate the turning of the heel. The way the pattern does it causes it to really pooch out and I hate that. I will try a different heel method on my next pair. I've already got another Sock Pattern picked out that has a nice design in it that I want to try. But I've definitely got to learn how to do 2 socks at once. Doing only one at a time just about drove me crazy.

If you are interested in the free pattern that I used to make these you can go here: Super Simple Short Sock.

Yarn: Red Heart, Heart and Sole in Tequila Sunrise
Needle: Size 2 DPN's But I started with the Magic Loop Method on a Size 2 Circular
Size: 7 Women's

I love the short socks. The best part, you don't have to do all that ribbing! I hate ribbing. And yes, you have knit socks! Great job!

Thanks J.! I'm not that fond of ribbing either. Mine always turns out loose. It's weird. And I don't like high socks either. I ALWAYS wear short socks. No exceptions. :) So these are perfect! Now I just need to start the pattern I've picked out for my 2nd pair. It's got a nice little design to it. So that should be a real challenge for me. :/
