Finally, as of last night....I learned to knit in the round. After many many MANY failed attempts. I finally got. Using the 'Magic Loop Method' no less! I have no idea just yet what I want to try and make with my new found skill, but I want it to use the ML method that I learned on.

Any ideas anyone?

The latest in my Finished Projects. I had worked on this since September but just got him finished several days ago. He hangs proudly on my front door! He was very easy to make. I used googly eyes instead of crocheting them because I'm not very good at crocheting small things like that. It hurts my hands and fingers.

Made this cute Frog in a flash! I bought the googly eyes at my local Dollar Tree that has the eyelash painted on them. They make it look so adorable! It think my niece will really like him.

After the wonderful Doris Chan helped me with the sleeves because there was a pattern error, I finally finished my Pullover. I must say that I'm totally in love with it. And also with the yarn. This is the first time I've never used Knit Picks Cotlin and this stuff is awesome. It drapes beautifully and has excellent stitch definition. I will definitely be using this again.

This is a pattern that I fell in love with the first time I seen it and I've had it in my Ravelry Queue for quite sometime and I'm thrilled that I was finally able to make it. I know it's going to get lots of wear.

....and another FO to show! These didn't take long at all. I could've actually had them done in an evening if I hadn't started on them so late.

This was a very easy pattern and I may end up making more of these to give as gifts for Christmas.

Wow! It's been quite a while since i've last blogged. Time seems to be getting away from me.

I've had a lot of different things going on and unfortunately, not much crafting has been getting done :( Since warmer weather looks like it's finally here to stay, I've got tons of spring/summer crochet that I'd love to get started on. I've seen a lot of awesome patterns lately showing in my crochet and knitting magazines. So I'm anxious to get started on some of them.

Below is the finished Happy Day Mobile from the current issue of Crochet Today. Although this may not have been my favorite issue, there are still some really cute patterns in there. This Mobile is for my Sister-In-Laws daughter. I'm quite excited about giving it to her. I think it is so cute and sweet! And even tho it's for a baby's room, I think it would look great anywhere!

I can now say 'I'm Finished'!! I've been working on this throw for a little over a month. Ran into some snags along the way and almost gave up after the first one. This is a join-as-you-go pattern and I had a hard time figuring out the 'join' part. After I got that part, it all went more smoothly from there.

I don't make too many afghans and now I know why. On this one, I made myself weave in the ends as I went so when It was done, it was done!

Then come to find out, when I finished everything but the border, the directions for that was left off the free pattern leaflet. Go figure! What a big proof-reading error that was! Luckily, I found them online on the Red Heart website. So if you do this throw, just remember to go there to get your border instructions. Of course it wasn't any rocket science to it, just 5 sc's in the CH-3 space and 3 sc's in the CH space and 1 sc in the SC space. I memorized it after 2 seconds which is astounding for me since I have a terrible memory. I love the color blue and as soon as I seen this pattern on the back of my Crochet Today magazine I knew I had to make it.





It feels great to finally finish something. It has been too long!

So I went through my queue in Ravelry weeding out patterns that for some reason or another I liked. On some, I had the 'what-was-I-thinking' moment?!! But, I came across a bookmark that I had queued sometime ago. I love bookmarks and love to read. I recently did a Bookmark Swap through Swap-Bot and got an awesome, wonderful Butterfly bookmark! Which come to think of it, I need to ask her where she got the pattern from. I definitely need to make one.

My Filigree bookmark only took me around 45 mins to an hour to make. It was very quick and easy. On the first one I used a varigated yarn and although I love the color, I think it detracts from the design. It's a great instant gratification project!

I'm sorry it's been so long since my last post. At my work, they have us working like mad men/women! For the last 3 weeks, we've been working 7 days a week. Four 10 hr days and three 8 hr days. I've had hardly no time at all to do any crafting! But, I have made a few things!

I wanted to share my last finished project. I'm making some coasters for my friends and family. These are the Be Mine Coasters from the latest Crochet Today issue. It takes me about 15-20 minutes each. I wanted to attach some shelf liner foam stuff to the backs to make them non-skid. But I'm not sure how well that would turn out. We'll see.
